Are You Making Fit Decisions?

Are You Making Fit Decisions?

The title question may seem strange but the answer is vital to your overall well-being. To be fit means to be in shape, equipped and ready to meet a required response. What is the required response, you ask? It is to live a life of purpose which is one that honors God, brings fulfillment to you, and serves others. In many cases, people limit being fit to just physical wellness; although it is included, I want to point out that it is so much more. On a deeper level, being fit also entails being mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in shape. With all this in mind, I want to now direct you back to the original question. Are you making fit decisions? Are you making the healthy choices that can lead to healthy outcomes; mind, body and spirit, or are you living life from moment to moment just winging it and hoping for the best?

If you are already practicing healthy life habits, good for you (literally). If not, I want to encourage you to get on board starting today. As you do, remember to take a holistic approach to your health. This can be done by:

  • Eating healthy foods and exercising regularly.
  • Practicing mindfulness through meditation, affirmations, thinking positive thoughts, and having frequent moments of quietness.
  • Praying on a daily basis and staying connected to a higher power.
  • Taking time for self-care, doing things that bring you joy, and investing in yourself.

There are many things you can do to get your wellness wheels in motion. The key is finding what works best for you, making a decision to do it, and sticking with it. Keep in mind, the goal is to live a purposeful life. It can be better accomplished when all parts of you are in good working order.
